India vs Togo, Davis Cup 2025 World Group I Play-off: Full schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Sumit Nagal, India’s highest-ranked singles player, will be absent from India vs Togo, Davis Cup tie.
India and Togo have taken contrasting paths to their Davis Cup 2025 World Group 1 play-off tie. After whitewashing Pakistan 4-0 in the 2024 play-offs, the result was reversed for Team India against a strong Swedish side, losing 4-0 in Stockholm.
Togo’s path to the Group 1 play-offs in the Davis Cup 2025, included a 3-2 victory over Indonesia in the 2024 World Group II play-offs. The West African nation drubbed Latvia 4-0 in their World Group II tennis tie to set up a first Davis Cup meeting with India.
Togo, at World No. #73 and the underdogs in the contest, will look to take advantage of the absence of Sumit Nagal and Yuki Bhambri. Nagal and Bhambri would have been the best singles and doubles players on India’s roster.
At stake is the chance to progress to the qualifiers in 2026. India, the 1987 finalists, have an opportunity to advance against the Davis Cup minnows despite heading in without the support of Nagal or Bhambri. In Nagal’s absence, Sasikumar Mukund is the highest singles-ranked player. The mantle of India’s best doubles player in the upcoming tie falls on Sriram Balaji.

While the Indians have advanced to the qualifiers in previous editions, the Togolese are yet to get there. Togo is heading into their tie against India on the back of a remarkable 10 wins in 11 ties. They will be looking to recapture the form they showed to surprise Latvia when they go up against No. 38 India in New Delhi.
