Elena Rybakina vs Diana Shnaider semi-final live streaming, TV channel, where & how to watch: Ningbo Open 2026
Rybakina faces Shnaider for a spot in the finals
Elena Rybakina, the defending champion, will face 2023 runners-up Diana Shnaider in the semi-finals of the Ningbo Open 2026.
Rybakina secured her ticket to the semi-finals of the Ningbo Open with a three-set victory over Poland’s Katarzyna Kawa. The Kazakh made the last eight of the WTA 500 event after Polina Kudermetova’s retirement at 5-0 in the opening set.
The 128th-ranked Kawa upset Belinda Bencic and threatened to take the game away from Rybakina, breaking the Kazakh’s serve thrice in the second set.
Rybakina came through in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1, in 1 hour, 45 minutes on Friday night and returned to the Ningbo semi-finals – her first victory as World No. 1.
She will meet Diana Shnaider in Saturday’s semi-finals for the third time in the 2026 season and enjoys a 2-0 lead over the Russian.
Shnaider, the No. 6 seed, overcame No. 4 seed Iva Jovic 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 in a 2-hour, 11-minute quarter-final. Shnaider, a semi-finalist last year, has booked her place in a fourth semi-final of 2026 (following Adelaide, Roland Garros and Washington).
The 22-year-old Shnaider avenged the three-set loss to Jovic in Dubai this February. It was their only previous meeting.
