With the victory, Novak Djokovic has also reached a 16th consecutive French Open quarter-final.
Novak Djokovic wrote another chapter in the history of the sport by defeating Britain’s Cameron Norrie for his 100th win at Roland Garros. The Serbian ended Norrie’s run in Paris with a 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 win over the Briton. His makes his way into the record books as only the third player after Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal with at least 100 wins at a single Grand Slam event.
The World No. #6 is also the second man to reach the magic number after Rafael Nadal (112) at Roland Garros. Roger Federer is the only player to have breached the 100-win mark at two Grand Slam events – Australian Open (102) and Wimbledon (105).
Djokovic could emulate Federer at Wimbledon in 2025, where he is tantalizingly close at 97 wins. The three-time French Open champion’s win-loss record in Paris now stands at 100-16.
The Serb has 99 wins in Melbourne and 90 wins in New York, home to the Australian Open and the US Open. In January 2026, he could become the first man in ATP history with at least 100 wins in three of the four majors, assuming he notches up his 100th win at Wimbledon this year.
“It’s a very pretty number, but 101 victories sounds better,” said Djokovic. “I will continue to search for another victory; it’s clearly not finished for me here. I’m very honoured to make history in this sport, which has given me everything in my life.”

Djokovic’s win over Norrie came in two hours and 14 minutes in their first meeting in Paris and only the second at a Grand Slam level. Their only previous meeting at a major was the 2023 Wimbledon semi-finals. The Serb is now 6-0 against Norrie in their career head-to-head. It was the second time Djokovic and Norrie faced each other inside of a month, following their meeting in the last four in Geneva.
The 38-year-old Djokovic is now 8-0 on the surface, including his title run in Geneva in the run up to the French Open. He will now take on Alexander Zverev in Tuesday’s quarter-final. Djokovic leads Zverev 8-5, with their last match ending in the former’s retirement in the last four stage of the 2025 Australian Open.
Zverev was the finalist in Roland Garros last season and the upcoming last eight clash with Djokovic is a rematch six years in the making since their quarter-final clash in the 2019 edition of the French Open where the Serbian star won in straight sets 7-5, 6-2, 6-2.
Djokovic remains in the hunt for a record 25th Grand Slam title and has experienced a recent turnaround in fortunes after ending his title drought last month.
