Novak Djokovic sets a new personal milestone for most match wins at Grand Slams.

Novak Djokovic’s records and milestones keep coming, even after two decades of competitive tennis on the ATP Tour. Watched on by his family, the Belgrade native waltzed into his sixth consecutive Wimbledon final, where he will play Carlos Alcaraz for a second final in as many years. It will also be the Serbian’s 37th Grand Slam final in the 16th season in his career.

The other two members of the top three, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, are joint-second, having reached Grand Slam finals for 15 seasons each in the Open Era.

Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam titles, accompanied by a win-loss record of 370-49 (88%) across the majors. Closing in on his 99th ATP Tour title, the Serbian legend is within reach of another milestone – 100 singles match wins at SW19. A mere three weeks after undergoing knee surgery after his Roland-Garros exit, Djokovic has pulled off the impossible by reaching the Wimbledon finals for the second year in a row.

Djokovic’s overall match wins at the four Grand Slam events are detailed below.

Wimbledon: 97 Match Wins

At Wimbledon, Djokovic has won seven titles and made 10 finals, out of which six were consecutive. Last year, he was denied an eighth Wimbledon title and a chance to equal Roger Federer’s tally. Back in the final in 2024, the World No. 2 has been presented with an opportunity to make amends for his loss in the 2023 title round to Carlos Alcaraz.

Djokovic has crossed the threshold of 1100 tour-level wins at Wimbledon 2024 after his opening round victory against Czech qualifier Vit Kopriva.

French Open: 96 Match Wins

Novak Djokovic has collected 96 wins at Roland-Garros, along with three titles. His three-trophy haul at the French Open from seven trips to the title round is the least among all Grand Slams. The Serbian was in with a chance to claim his fourth title at the clay court major. However, he was done in by a bad knee during his Round of 16 win against Francisco Cerundolo and pulled out from the quarter-final against Casper Ruud.

During his aborted French Open campaign, Djokovic notched up his 370th win at Grand Slams, pushing Roger Federer (369) and Serena William (367) to second and third in the all-time list.

Australian Open: 94 Match Wins

Djokovic’s visits to Melbourne for the Australian Open have been the most successful. The World No. 2 has won 10 titles at the season-opening Grand Slam. Having missed out on the 2022 edition due to his refusal to be vaccinated, the Serbian claimed his 10th Australian Open title in 2023 to make it four wins in a row in Melbourne.

The Serbian came up empty in his attempt in the 2024 season to pick up his 11th Australian Open title. He lost in the semi-finals to then World No. 4 Jannik Sinner, missing out a place in the finals for the first time since 2018.

Yet, his record in Melbourne is stellar and the losses are in single digits – 9, compared to Roland-Garros (16), Wimbledon (11) and the US Open (13).

US Open: 90 Match Wins

The hard courts at Flushing Meadows bore witness to Novak Djokovic winning four US Open titles and 88 wins. As with the Australian Open, he missed out on the 2022 US Open over his vaccination status. The Serb returned the following year to win a record 24th Grand Slam title, beating Daniil Medvedev in the final.

After losing his defending champion status at the French Open in 2024, Djokovic was looking to retain his 2023 US Open title to effect a turnaround in what has been far from a perfect season for the former World No. 1. He lost in the third round to Alexei Popyrin in four sets as he ended the 2024 season without a slam.
