Seeded 15th, she defeated the likes of Elise Mertens, Belinda Bencic, and Serena Williams to win her maiden and only Grand Slam title. The Canadian tennis star received a fancy amount of $3.85 million for her triumph in Flushing Meadows.
4. Iga Swiatek
Iga Swiatek overcame the odds to win the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. She dropped only one set throughout the campaign, which happened in the second round, where she faced the United Statesâ Caty McNally.
The Pole also double-bagelled Amanda Anisimova in the summit clash. After her memorable win, Swiatek received more than $4 million in prize money becoming one of the highest prize money recievers in womenâs tennis.
3. Ashleigh Barty
Former Australian tennis star Ashleigh Barty won $4.42 million after she secured the 2019 WTA Finals title. Playing in Shenzhen, Barty defeated Ukraineâs Elina Svitolina to win the prestigious title.
She secured the title for the highest prize money for almost five years before it was eventually overtaken by the 2024 WTA Finals champion.

2. Coco Gauff
Coco Gauff enjoyed a successful campaign in 2025 as she won the French Open after beating four-time Grand Slam champion Aryna Sabalenka.
With two Grand Slam titles to her name, sheâs one of the top stars in tennis currently. However, she received a reported prize money of $4.8 million after she won the 2024 WTA Finals.
In Riyadh, she gave a brilliant performance and overcame the likes of top names to finish first. Meanwhile, Chinaâs Qinwen Zheng won $2.305 million as runner-up. Coco Gauff was the second-highest earner on the tour last year after Belarusâs Aryna Sabalenka.

Aryna Sabalenka received the highest prize money after winning the 2025 US Open in WTA history. A mammoth sum of $5 million was presented to the Belarusian tennis star after she defeated the United Statesâ Amanda Anisimova.
Sabalenka also became only the second WTA star to defend her US Open title since Serena Williams in 2014. The Belarusian tennis star has won four singles Grand Slam titles in her professional career, and all of them have come on hard courts.
