The Indian Wells 2025 tournament will start from March 4.

The Indian Wells 2025 tournament will mark the commencement of the Sunshine Double, with the all-important ATP 1000 and WTA 1000 competition set to offer a handsome cash prize, with plenty of ranking points at stake.

The men’s and women’s main draw events are set to begin on March 2 and will run until March 16 on outdoor hard courts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Twenty-four-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic will play the event eyeing a 100th career title, while World Number #2 and reigning champions Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz will be hoping to defend their titles. However, they will not have it easy as plenty of high-profile names are set to compete for the title.

The Spaniard returns as the two-time reigning champion and will be seeking a first ATP three-peat in the desert since Djokovic (2014, 2015, 2016). Meanwhile, WTA World No. #1 Aryna Sabalenka is looking for a maiden title at the Indian Wells. Jannik Sinner, on the other hand, will remain absent as he continues to serve his three-month ban following failed dope tests.

Top-ranked Americans Coco Gauff (World No. 3) and Taylor Fritz (World No. 4) will lead the home charge in pursuit of the title. They will be joined by 2025 Australian Open finalist Alexander Zverev (World No. 2), who is the top seed and three-time Grand Slam finalist Casper Ruud (World No. 5).

On the women’s front, two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini (World No. 4), and 2023 BNP Paribas Open champion Elena Rybakina (World No. 5), are the top contenders for winning the title in California.

2025 Australian Open champion Madison Keys will mark her return to the sport. After her splendid triumph at the Melbourne Park, the American has missed several key events and will be desperate to get back to the playing field. Recently crowned youngest WTA-1000 champion Mirra Andreeva is set to feature in the event.
