The 2026 Six Kings Slam suffered a setback following recent attacks at Riyadh airport amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, forcing organizers to postpone the exhibition’s third edition, which was due to run from October 21 to 24.

The event has now been rescheduled to take place from December 27 to 30. That makes it the final stop of the season.

The delay has brought Jannik Sinner back into the field, much to the delight of tennis fans across the world. The Italian had ended his 2026 season prematurely on October 6 because of a knee injury.

That meant pulling out of the Riyadh exhibition, where he had won the first two editions, in 2024 and 2025. Learner Tien was named as his replacement, but the American will no longer be required to feature in the Riyadh event, unless any other player pulls out for some other reason.

Sinner confirmed his return to Riyadh in an Instagram story, calling it a U-turn made possible by the postponement. The extra weeks should give him more time to recover. Italian reports suggest that the work on his iliotibial band problem is paying off.

The field now features Sinner alongside Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur. Sinner pocketed a massive pay cheque of $6 million on both of his previous wins.

The match will be his first since clinching the Wimbledon 2026 title, ending a long layoff that ruled him out of the entire second half of the season, including the US Open and ATP Finals, which also cost him his World No. 1 ranking.
