Match prediction
World No. #1 Jannik Sinner is expected to overwhelm Taylor Fritz in their Group Ilie Nastase showdown on Tuesday. The matchup on hard courts comes to Sinner as one of his staple ones as has played very well on the hard surface and has a 40-3 mark so far this season.
Sinner’s convincing 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 victory over Fritz in the US Open final confirmed his 2-1 head-to-head lead and Sinner’s record stands at 66-6 this year, with that being 6-0 on Indoor hard court
Fritz has played quite well but seems off since the US Open. His 2024 hardcourt record of 22-10 is disappointing when compared to that of Sinner. With the Turin court playing slower this week than it did a year ago, Sinner’s game all-around should be too much for the American.
