How does top 10 of ATP rankings look ahead of Wimbledon 2026?
Just 4 wins since Australian Open 2026 has significantly impacted Novak Djokovic’s ranking.
Wimbledon 2026 is nearly a week away, and the seedings for the marquee Championships has been decided. Ben Shelton will be seeded fourth at Wimbledon, thanks to his triumph in Stuttgart, and a quarter-final finish in Halle. Taylor Fritz moved to seventh position after finishing as a finalist in both Stuttgart and Halle.
Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev has a superb opportunity of surpassing Carlos Alcaraz for the World No. 2 ranking. The Spaniard was a finalist at SW19 last year, but will miss the entire competition this time around due to his wrist injury.
Jannik Sinner, meanwhile, remains untroubled at the top. However, the biggest fall, was suffered by former World No. 1 and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic. The Serbian has fallen to the eighth spot, thanks to his poor form since reaching the Australian Open final.
Since Melbourne, Djokovic has featured in only three events (Indian Wells Open, Italian Open, French Open), and once again opted to skip all grass-court warm-up events before Wimbledon. Following a third-round loss in Paris, and a surge in ranking points for the likes of Shelton and de Minaur, Djokovic fell from #3 to #8 over the past few weeks.
His No. 7 seeding means he could potentially meet defending champion Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals. Djokovic will hope to land in the opposite half of the draw from Sinner, though his seeding leaves him vulnerable to a quarter-final meeting.
