Unfortunately, there won’t be a live telecast of the WTA 1000 matches in India. However, fans can catch the live action of Aryna Sabalenka vs Danielle Collins on Tennis TV as well as on WTA TV.

Prediction

Sabalenka is a world-class player, and she will be raring to get that Madrid Open title in her kitty. She has a win-loss record of 17-5 and 3-1 on the clay courts in the year 2024. Though her recent form is not as great as per high standards, she has brute force and explosiveness in her gameplay which sets her apart from other female players on WTA tour.

Those hard-hitting forehand winners need to be kept behind the baseline as she has this habit of making lots of unforced errors when is not finding her rhythm. Aryna is also heavy on the first serves where she goes for the glory of Aces. Aryna’s sheer power and explosive moment on the court make her a strong favourite in the fourth-round clash at the Madrid Open 2024.

Collins is on high, with 15 match-winning streak, two consecutive podium finishes in her last two tours, an impressive 28-7 win ratio, and an 8-0 on the clay courts in 2024. She is going to be a massive threat to Aryna’s title-winning chances.

Given her recent form, she should fancy her chances of winning the title and completing her hat trick of title wins at the WTA tour. Though it looks like Collins has better stats, Aryna is a world-class player and can produce magical performances anytime.

Right now everything on paper says Collins has a better chance but if Aryana gets those powerful shots behind the baseline, shows a slightly better temperament, and reduces those unforced errors she will be a tough force to contain and eventually end up on the winning side.

Result: Aryna Sabalenka to win in three sets.
