Mirra Andreeva vs Elina Svitolina prediction, betting tips & odds, head-to-head, preview: Indian Wells Open 2025

Mirra Andreeva became the youngest quarterfinalist at Indian Wells since 2009.

Mirra Andreeva seems absolutely unstoppable right now, as she extended her winning streak to nine matches, after a thumping victory over 2023 champion Elena Rybakina. The Russian totally dominated the Kazakh, who was erratic and all over the place.

The magnitude of this win cannot be understated, as it wasn’t just another win for Andreeva. Rybakina is one of the toughest players to beat at Indian Wells Open and boasts a terrific record at the desert. For her to go down 1-6, 2-6 to the 17-year-old, highlights Andreeva’s all-round game, as she put on an exhibition with her winners, drop shots and big serves at crucial intervals.

Preview

The seemingly invincible Andreeva continues to march on and will face Elina Svitolina for a maiden Indian Wells semi-final spot. Svitolina defeated higher seeded Americans in consecutive rounds to mark her first quarter-final appearance since 2019.

In the third round she crushed Danielle Collins in straight sets and went on to stage a dramatic comeback against fourth seed and recent Austin winner, Jessica Pegula. While the Ukrainian has reached 21 WTA-1000 quarterfinals, including four titles, this marks her first appearance at this stage since Rome 2021.

After losing to eventual winner Madison Keys at Australian Open 2025, Svitolina would be looking to match her career-best outing at the Tennis Paradise, when she made the semifinals in 2019. This quarter-final battle would mark the first instance when these two players take on each other.

Match prediction

Both players have produced some excellent tennis and beaten high profile players, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to bet against Andreeva. After overcoming the formidable trio of Grand Slam winners in Dubai, which included Iga Swiatek and Rybakina, her recent crushing triumph over the Kazakh makes her not only the favourite for this contest alone, but potentially the top contender for the title as well.

Result: Mirra Andreeva will win in straight sets.
