The Munich Open 2025, also known as the BMW Open, will be held from April 14 to 20 on the clay courts of MTTC Iphitos in Munich, Germany. Celebrating its 109th year, the tournament is making its debut as an ATP 500 event, promoted from the ATP 250 tier.

Alexander Zverev is the only top seed at the event, after World No. 4 Taylor Fritz withdrew due to an injury. The second seed is Ben Shelton, who will also play men’s doubles with India’s Rohan Bopanna.

With Felix Auger-Aliassime (3), Ugo Humbert (4), Francisco Cerundolo (5), Jakub Mensik (6), and Jiri Lehecka being the other contenders, Zverev would believe he has an excellent chance to claim the Munich Open title for the third time.

Focus will also be on defending champion Yuki Bhambri, who’s making rapid progress and has surpassed Bopanna to become India’s No. 1 in men’s doubles. He will be seen alongside American Robert Galloway.

The Munich Open 2025 offers a total prize money of €2,500,000, a significant 331.54% rise from last year. This significant increase is due to the tournament being upgraded from an ATP 250 to an ATP 500 event.
