Novak Djokovic is currently ranked World No. 6.

Novak Djokovic begins his 900th week in the ATP top 10 in the 2025 season. It is the latest among a laundry list of achievements recorded by the Serbian in this season. The 38-year-old Djokovic won his 100th career title in Geneva and recorded 100+ wins at the French Open and Wimbledon

Djokovic also reached the men’s singles semi-final at Wimbledon for a record 14th time, surpassing Roger Federer‘s record of 13 SW19 semi-final appearances to set an Open Era record. It was also his 52nd singles semi-final at Grand Slam events, equalling the 52 by Chris Evert for most by any player – male or female in the Open Era.

The former World No. 1 and 24-time Grand Slam champion joins Roger Federer (968 weeks) and Rafael Nadal (912 weeks) as the third player to go past the milestone since ATP Rankings were first published in 1973. Djokovic has spent almost half of those weeks – a staggering 428 of them as the World No. 1.

His attempt to equalise with Federer’s haul of eight Wimbledon titles ended in the semi-finals with a straight-set loss to Jannik Sinner. It was Djokovic’s first semi-final exit following six consecutive appearances in the final between 2018 and 2024.

The recently concluded Wimbledon was another close call in Djokovic’s pursuit of an elusive 25th Grand Slam title. The Serbian won his last major title at the 2023 US Open, and the recent loss to World No. 1 Sinner was his second straight semi-final defeat at a Grand Slam event following the French Open in June.

Djokovic, a four-time champion at the Canadian Open, will not play in the upcoming ATP 1000 event. He last played at the Masters event in 2018, losing in the third round to Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Serbian legend’s name appears on the entry list for the Cincinnati Open, which will be held in early August.

The US Open, to be held later that month, represents another opportunity for Novak Djokovic to end his two-year Grand Slam drought, and also end his wait for a record 25th Grand Slam trophy.
