Novak Djokovic’s potential return to the court could be delayed if he decides to withdraw from the Cincinnati Open 2025.

Novak Djokovic is currently in Croatia, enjoying an outing after he announced his withdrawal from the Canadian Masters earlier this week. Along with the 24-time Grand Slam champion, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Jack Draper also withdrew from the ATP 1000 event in Toronto.

In the meantime, the Serbian tennis star decided to take a vacation along with his family. Djokovic is currently on the island of Mljet in Croatia, where he was also seen kayaking alongside his wife.

After enjoying his time in the water, the Serbian tennis star also met former Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic alongside UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin on his outing. Croatian footballers Modric and Kovacic are reportedly also enjoying vacations in the pre-season.

Earlier this summer, Luka Modric joined AC Milan on a free transfer from Real Madrid, while Mateo Kovacic continues to play for Manchester City.

The 10-time Australian Open champion also signed a Lacoste t-shirt for both football stars as they posed for a wholesome picture. Along with his signature, the Serbian tennis star also wrote a special message for Modric and Kovacic.

A picture of Novak Djokovic shopping in a supermarket also surfaced on the internet, where the 24-time Grand Slam champion looked relaxed.

Novak Djokovic, who lost to eventual champion Jannik Sinner in straight sets in the Wimbledon 2025 semifinals, is expected to return at the Cincinnati Open, scheduled from August 5 to 18.

He also missed the Canadian Masters last year due to fitness concerns and a busy calendar schedule. Moreover, he also withdrew from the Cincinnati Open despite being the defending champion at the North American tournament.

Thus, Novak Djokovic’s potential return to the court can be delayed if the Serb decides to withdraw from the Cincinnati Masters, much like last year.
