Alcaraz raced to his 26th career title, beating Arthur Fils in a one-sided final.
Carlos Alcaraz delivered a flawless performance in the ATP Qatar Open 2026 final to clinch his maiden title in Doha. The Spaniard was featuring in his first event since the Australian Open triumph and showcased zero signs of complacency.
Alcaraz was in fine form, overcoming an inspired Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals despite dropping the opening set, and then defeating reigning champion Andrey Rublev in the semi-finals. Alcaraz now holds two titles out of the two tournaments he has competed in 2026 and looks eager to set more records.
Arthur Fils meanwhile will not be too disappointed with his effort, considering the Frenchman’s long struggle with injury over the past few months.
The other big headline from Qatar was Jannik Sinner’s shocking quarter-final loss to a determined Jakub Mensik, with the Czech eventually running out of gas in the semis against Fils.
