Top five players with longest winning streak in ATP Masters 1000 events

Novak Djokovic holds the Guinness World Record for the longest winning streak in ATP Masters 1000 events.
Winning a title is difficult. However, maintaining consistency by winning matches across different competitions and surfaces is even more difficult. Some tennis players have proven their mettle by excelling at the right time despite numerous challenges from all sides.
Thus, without further ado, let’s take a look at the top five players with the longest winning streak in ATP Masters 1000 events. The list does not include a name twice, but the streaks are mentioned in the details.
5. Andre Agassi: 19 Matches
Former Olympic gold medallist Andre Agassi went on to win 19 consecutive matches in the Masters event between 2001 and 2002. The seven-time Grand Slam champion started his streak at the 2001 Madrid Open. He won the Madrid Open and later completed the Sunshine Double. His streak ended against Marat Safin at the 2002 Hamburg Open.
4. Pete Sampras: 19 Matches
Pete Sampras won 19 consecutive matches at Masters events in 1994, winning the Indian Wells Masters, the Miami Open, and the Rome Masters. Pistol Pete’s triumph at the 1994 was his biggest victory on the red dirt.
His dominance on grass and hard surfaces was worth praising; however, he was significantly weak on clay. The surface always looked unfamiliar to the 14-time Grand Slam champion. Nevertheless, his streak ended when he lost in the semifinals of the Canadian Open against Andre Agassi.
3. Rafael Nadal: 23 Matches

One-third of the Big Three, Rafael Nadal‘s longest undefeated streak in ATP 1000 Masters events, came in 2013 when he won 23 matches. He won five Masters titles: Indian Wells, Madrid, Rome, Montreal, and Cincinnati.
Except for the Indian Wells Masters, he won the other four titles during his 23-match incredible streak. Novak Djokovic also had a 23-match unbeaten run between 2013 and 2014.
2. Roger Federer: 29 Matches

Roger Federer is second on the list due to his run between 2005 and 2006. The Swiss maestro was unbeaten across all ATP 1000 Masters events for 29 consecutive matches.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion started his commendable run at the 2005 Hamburg Masters by stunning former Spanish tennis star Fernando Verdasco. Federer won four ATP 1000 Masters titles on the tour: Hamburg, Cincinnati, Indian Wells, and Miami.
However, his winning streak came to a halt in the Monte Carlo Masters 2006 final against another former Spanish tennis star, Rafael Nadal. Federer played eight Grand Slam finals between 2005 and 2006 and won six. He lost to Nadal in the finals of the French Open in 2005 and 2006.
1. Novak Djokovic: 31 Matches

Novak Djokovic has statistically solidified his place in tennis history as the greatest singles star. He has remained unbeaten in over 20 matches on the ATP Tour. Nevertheless, his longest winning streak came during the 2011 season.
The Serbian tennis star won three Grand Slam titles in 2011, becoming a strong contender on the tour. Apart from Grand Slam success, he played six ATP 1000 Masters finals, winning five, including four wins over Rafael Nadal, two of which came on the red clay.
He started his winning run at the Indian Wells Masters and later completed the Sunshine Double with triumph at the Miami Open. After missing the Monte Carlo Masters, he won the Madrid Open, the Italian Open, and the Canadian Open.
His streak came to an end in the Canadian Open final, where he retired against Andy Murray. The Serbian tennis star also holds the Guinness World Record for the milestone. Djokovic went on a 30-match unbeaten streak during the 2014-2015 season, too.
