Full list of players who have qualified for WTA Finals 2025

Three out of eight players have already booked a spot for the year-ending finals.
The WTA Finals 2025 will be staged in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 1 to 8, 2025, marking the second consecutive year the season-ending championship is hosted there. It will be the 54th singles edition and 49th doubles edition, bringing together the world’s top women players to close out the WTA Tour season.
Only the eight highest-ranked singles players and doubles teams will qualify, making it one of the most exclusive events on the tennis calendar. Qualification is determined through a season-long points race, with players required to compete in a minimum of eight WTA 1000 or WTA 500 tournaments.
For singles, ranking points are calculated from 18 tournaments, including the four Grand Slams, six of the seven mandatory WTA 1000s, one additional WTA 1000 from Doha/Dubai/Wuhan, and the player’s best remaining results.
Priority is given to the top seven in the leaderboard, followed by Grand Slam champions ranked within the top 20, ensuring a balanced mix of consistency and major-title winners. The tournament format features a round-robin stage with two groups of four players each, followed by knockout semifinals and the final.
Players who qualified for the WTA Finals 2025-
8. Elena Rybakina
Elena Rybakina qualified for the WTA Finals 2025 by winning the Ningbo Open and then securing the final available spot with a quarterfinal victory at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo.
The Kazakh has had a wonderful season so far. She won two WTA singles titles in 2025: the Internationaux de Strasbourg and the Ningbo Open.
7. Jasmine Paolini
The Italian star Jasmine Paolini has secured her spot in both singles and doubles at the 2025 WTA Finals Riyadh, following a stellar season on the WTA Tour.
The season so far has seen Paolini winning two singles and four doubles titles, all doubles victories alongside Sara Errani. She became the seventh player to qualify for the season ending tournament by reaching the semifinals at the Ningbo Open this week.
6. Jessica Pegula
American tennis player Jessica Pegula has qualified for the WTA Finals after a strong and steady season. Her run to the semifinals at the Wuhan Open 2025 earned her enough points to secure a spot among the top players of the year, climbing to no.5 in the ranking.
Pegula has had a great season so far, with a 49–18 record and three titles clinched in Austin, Charleston, and Bad Homburg. She’s also the only woman in 2025 to win tournaments on hard, clay, and grass courts.
5. Madison Keys
The current world no.7 Madison Keys qualified for the 2025 WTA Finals on October 2, 2025, becoming the fifth singles player to secure her spot.
Her qualification was confirmed following Amanda Anisimova’s victory over Jasmine Paolini in the China Open quarterfinals, which mathematically ensured Keys’ place in the elite eight-player field.
This will mark her second appearance at the WTA finals and first in nearly a decade, having last qualified in 2016. It comes after a spectacular season that saw the 30-year-old winning her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open and lifting early-season silverware at the WTA 500 Adelaide International.
4. Amanda Anisimova

Amanda Anisimova qualified for the 2025 WTA Finals in Riyadh after reaching the semifinals of the China Open 2025 in Beijing, following a hard-fought victory over Jasmine Paolini in the quarterfinals.
It will be Amanda’s first time playing in the season-ending tournament, which features the best eight players of the year.
The 24-year-old American has had an amazing 2025 season. She reached the finals at Wimbledon and the US Open, and won two big titles at the WTA 1000 events in Doha and Beijing. These results have put her at No. 4 in the WTA Race standings.
3. Coco Gauff

The 21-year-old young American sensation Coco Gauff secured her spot in the WTA Finals after a fourth-round win at the China Open 2025.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that Gauff has qualified for the year-end championships. She is also the defending champion, having lifted the WTA Finals trophy in 2024. In 2023, she reached the semifinals, advancing from the group stage before falling to eventual champion Iga Swiatek.

Gauff has enjoyed a spectacular 2025 season so far, maintaining her position among the top three in the world rankings. Currently World No.3, Gauff also claimed the French Open title earlier this year and boasts an outstanding 38–13 win-loss record for the season.
2. Iga Swiatek

Iga Swiatek outlasted Elena Rybakina in a high-quality clash to advance to a maiden Cincinnati Open final. Having lost consecutive semi-finals here in 2023 and 2024, the Pole came back against all odds in the opening set, when the Kazakh was serving for the set, and powered her way to victory.
It has been a season of ups and downs for the six-time Grand Slam champion. After a solid showing in Australia, Swiatek unexpectedly lost her way on clay.
Known as the ‘Queen of Clay’, the Pole failed to retain her crown for the entirety of the Middle East swing and lost to Sabalenka in the Roland Garros semi-finals.
However, she came back in style on grass, a surface where she had not found much success. Swiatek ended her title drought at Wimbledon, beating Anisimova 6-0, 6-0. She continued her top form into the hard courts of Cincinnati, as she became only the second player to secure her place in the Riyadh finals.
1. Aryna Sabalenka

WTA Finals were just over 100 days away when Aryna Sabalenka booked her place, breaching the qualification mark, after surviving a close battle against German tennis star Laura Siegemund in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2025.
The Belarusian qualified for her second Wimbledon semi-final, but lost eventually to Amanda Anisimova. The World No. 1 has already claimed four titles this year, including the Miami Open and Madrid Open (both WTA 1000 Masters), as well as the Brisbane and Stuttgart Open, and finished as runner-up in four other WTA events in 2025.
Sabalenka has lost two tough Grand Slam finals this year, at the Australian Open, where she was eyeing a three-peat, and at Roland Garros, which would have been her maiden triumph on the Parisian clay.
The 27-year-old has undoubtedly been the most consistent player on tour and has already crossed the 7,500 mark. The reigning US Open champion still has several key tournaments to compete in before the Riyadh finals, and is expected to breach the 1,000 mark.
