Elena Rybakina at Ningbo Open 2025

Elena Rybakina clinched her second title of the reason.

A much-needed triumph at the Ningbo Open 2025 for Elena Rybakina brought her a step closer to sealing her spot at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, as she rallied past Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 to claim her 10th career title.

The Kazakh now needs only a semifinal finish at the upcoming WTA Tokyo Open 2025 to secure the final qualifying berth ahead of rising star Mirra Andreeva.

After a slow start, Rybakina found her rhythm with trademark precision and power, dominating from the baseline and at the net to clinch her second title of the season.

A day earlier, she had eased past Jasmine Paolini in straight sets, further strengthening her impressive record against fellow top-10 opponents.
