The Tokyo Open 2025 also known as Toray Pan Pacific Open has seen a significant rise in prize money across all rounds compared to 2024, reflecting the tournament’s growing prestige on the WTA calendar. The tournament is set to begin on October 20, Monday and conclude on October 26 in Tokyo.

The champion’s purse increased by 15% to $164,000, while finalists and semifinalists also enjoyed similar percentage hikes.

Even early-round participants benefited, with the Round of 16 payout climbing 16%. The overall boost in rewards highlights the event’s commitment to supporting players and enhancing its global stature.

Among those competing, are top seed Elena Rybakina, alongside katerina Alexandrova, Clara Tauson and Belinda Bencic. Defending champion Qinwen Zheng will not feature due to injury.

Jasmine Paolini, who was supposed to be the top seed has also withdrawn, having secured her place for the year-end finals.
