Rafael Nadal has always been a loyal Real Madrid supporter, despite his uncle, Toni Nadal, having played for Barcelona.

Rafael Nadal has advised Brazilian football attacker Vinicius Jr to respect Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso instead of getting involved in a feud.

During Real Madrid’s 2-1 win in the El Clasico over arch-rivals Barcelona on October 26, the Brazilian attacker looked visibly agitated as he was substituted during the second half.

Later, he took to social media and apologised publicly for his actions without mentioning Xabi Alonso. He wrote, “Today I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clásico.

Just as I already did in person during today’s training, I also want to apologise again to my teammates, the club, and the president.”

However, after almost a month, the rumours intensified when Vinicius Jr was not named in Madrid’s starting XI against Elche, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Addressing the 25-year-old’s situation in the Spanish capital with the new manager, the 22-time Grand Slam champion stated that the issue can be resolved with peaceful dialogue between both parties. However, the Brazilian attacker should understand that the club and its manager hold greater power.

He said during an interview with Moviestar+, “I think it can be resolved through dialogue, with everyone on the same page. I believe Vini needs to understand who is in charge and respect that authority, and also the club, given what it means to be a Real Madrid player.”

The 14-time French Open champion further added, “But I think he’s doing his best, and those things that come out of him, which sometimes aren’t well-received, can be corrected through dialogue and an awareness that things can be improved.” The Brazilian attacker had a better relationship with former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian tactician has joined the Brazil national team as the new head coach after failing to win a trophy with the La Liga giants in the previous season.

Regarding Real Madrid, they are currently in second place in the Spanish top-tier league, with 32 points in 13 games, two points behind leaders Barcelona. However, they also have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal has always been a loyal Real Madrid supporter, despite his uncle, Toni Nadal, having played for Barcelona. He has been spotted supporting Los Blancos on frequent occasions. Last month, he again attended a game where the La Liga giants played.
