Rafael Nadal missed the 2024 Wimbledon Championships in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal recently took to social media and uploaded a few glimpses of his outing in Greece apart from practice.

For the last couple of weeks, Nadal has been practicing at the Rafa Nadal Academy ahead of the Bastad Open and the 2024 Paris Olympics. A couple of days ago, the Spaniard was seen giving a piggyback ride to his son, Rafa Jr., at Sani Resort in Halkidiki, Greece.

Nevertheless, the 22-time Grand Slam champion recently uploaded a video of himself cooking and serving at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Greece. In the video, Nadal can be seen tasting the food and praising the chef.

He captioned the video, “Today, on the day of rest… Rice broth (Mallorcan style) for team and family.” Apart from that, the King of Clay also uploaded a picture of himself having different adventures.

Rafael Nadal last played at the 2024 French Open, where he faced Germany’s Alexander Zverev in the first round. Facing the World No. 4, the 14-time Roland-Garros champion suffered a first round exit.

Nadal missed the whole of 2023 due to a hip injury. Thus, he returned at the Brisbane International earlier this year, but his injury flared at the tournament. He made his return from a prolonged hiatus at the ATP 500 Barcelona Open and also played the ATP 1000 Madrid Open.

This season, the 22-time Grand Slam champion has played 12 matches, losing five. However, the Spaniard is set to play in the men’s singles and doubles events at the Busted Open, scheduled from July 15–21. He will partner with Norwegian tennis star Casper Ruud in Basted.

He will later participate at the Paris Olympics 2024, scheduled to start on July 26. The tennis events at the Paris Olympics will take place at Stade Roland Garros, where Rafael Nadal has a win-loss record of 112-4. Interestingly, he will team up with compatriot and three-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz at the Olympics.
