ATP Shanghai Masters 2024: Live streaming, TV channel, where and how to watch?

The ATP Shanghai Masters 2024 is set to witness the return of legendary players from the tour. The 13th edition of the event will be the second last Masters 1000 tournament on the ATP tour this season. The singles main draw will see 96 players featuring in Shanghai and 32 pairs in doubles.

In the singles main draw, Jannik Sinner will be leading the attack as four-time winner Novak Djokovic will make a comeback to the event. He had last competed in Shanghai in 2019. Djokovic will be joined by 2019 winner Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz who will be making his second appearance in Shanghai. Defending champion, Hubert Hurkacz will aim to be the first player since Djokovic in 2013 to win successive titles.

The Polish player had become the lowest ranked champion to win the title in 2023. He was ranked world No #16 during his record breaking run. The case stands to be the same this year but there could be few players who could stage upsets. The tournament’s history has seen top ranked players win the title until last season.

Kei Nishikori, Coleman Wong, Yibing Wu, Stan Wawrinka, Yunchaokete Bu and Yi Zhou are the wildcard entries for the hardcourt event in Shanghai. The Indian fans can watch Sumit Nagal in singles as he will take on wild card entry Wu in the opening round as the winner will take on Nicolas Jarry in the second round.

There could be a second Indian player in the singles main draw as Ramkumar Ramanthan has won his opening match in the qualifiers. He needs to win against Fajing Sun in the second qualifiers to enter the main draw.

Fans will have to wait for a few more days to get insights on the men’s doubles draw as it has not been revealed yet. Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos are the defending champions in the event. Indian fans can expect Rohan Bopanna to be in action as he looks to be the second Indian after Leander Paes to secure the doubles title. The doubles section is yet to see a pair win consecutive titles since its inception in 2009.
