These legendary female tennis players made it a habit to win the championship.
Iga Swiatek won the 2022 edition of the French Open by beating Coco Gauff of the United States of America in the final. One needs major levels of fitness and precision to win on a clay court due to the sappy nature of the surface.
Therefore, winning the French Open multiple times is an incredible feat. However, some female tennis players have achieved the feat over the years. Looking back at the history of the championship at Stade Roland Garros, here are the top five women with the most French Open singles titles.
5. Margaret Court - 5 titles
The legendary women’s tennis player Margaret Court won the French Open five times in her career. She is the leading woman with most Grand Slam titles in the singles category. The Australian managed to win 24 titles in her illustrious career as a professional.

The French tennis athlete also won the first-ever doubles championship in 1907. She partnered up with Yvonne de Pfeffel to lift the title. Masson reached the final of the Women’s Singles category in 1904 as well but Kate Gillou was too good for her.
