Alcaraz is coming on the back of a 2-hour 44 minute-battle victory over Tommy Paul in the fourth round. The American star started strong, breaking the Spaniard in the very first game and taking an early 4-2 lead in the first set.

However, Alcaraz recovered and managed to take the set in a tie-break. And after the first set, Carlos found his monstrous form. The powerful groundstrokes put pressure on Paul and he could not survive it losing the match 7-6 (6), 6-4, 7-5 to the World No. 1.

On the other hand, the home favourite Alex De Minaur is coming after dispatching the 10th seed Alexander Bublik, in a comparatively easy match that lasted only 1 hour and 32 minutes. The Australian won in straight sets 6-4, 6-1, 6-1.

Alcaraz and Minaur have met each other five times in their career and demonstrating his dominance the Spaniard has won them all taking 5-0 lead in their head-to-head record.
