Alcaraz and Shelton will face off in a final for the first time.â
Carlos Alcaraz and Ben Shelton will lock horns in the Paris Masters 2026 final, with the Spaniard looking to capture his maiden title in the French capital.
Alcaraz is on an eight-match winning streak, including his Vienna Open title run last week. The Spaniard found himself on the brink of elimination in the quarter-finals, but clawed his way back to make a title-round debut at the Paris Masters.
The World No. 3 survived a pair of match points against Taylor Fritz in the last eight before sealing a straightforward 6-4, 6-4 semi-final triumph against Casper Ruud.
Alcaraz sealed his 86-minute win against Ruud without facing a single break point. With his win against the Norwegian, Alcaraz has reached the final in seven of nine Masters 1000 events. Only appearances in Canada and Shanghai elude the seven-time Grand Slam champ.
Ben Shelton took the scenic route in the first semi-final of the day. The American was tested by Frenchman Luca Van Assche on Saturday afternoon before carving out a 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 victory in two hours and 16 minutes.
Shelton has now advanced to his sixth tour-level final of the season, and will be looking to add a third Masters 1000 crown following triumphs in Toronto (2025) and Montreal (2026).
It will be a first summit clash between the duo, with Alcaraz leading their head-to-head 3-1. Sheltonâs only victory against the Spaniard came at the US Open quarter-finals earlier this season in a thrilling five-set clash.
