Karolina Muchova and Victoria Mboko will meet for the first time in the final of the Doha Masters.

The WTA Qatar Open 2026 saw loads of upsets, with the 19-year-old Victoria Mboko standing on the cusp of creating history. She will be looking for her second WTA Masters title, having already won the Canadian Open last year.

Mboko has been smashing the ball with relentless intensity in Doha, overcoming the recently crowned Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina in the quarter-finals, in a three setter epic.

In the round of 16 clash, the Canadian had also stunned Mirra Andreeva, and made her maiden Qatar final after a convincing straight sets victory over Jelena Ostapenko. Set to make her top-10 debut in the rankings chart, Mboko will now face the experienced Karolina Muchova in the championship match.

Muchova is one of the most highly talented and versatile players on tour, and yet she will seeking for a maiden Masters trophy. Having lost two WTA-1000 finals previously (both to Coco Gauff), the Czech will be hoping for a redemption.

The 14th seed took down Anna Kalinskaya in the quarter-finals, and then halted an in-form Maria Sakkari in the semis. With a golden chance to end her Masters quest, expect a thrilling battle between Muchova’s variety, and Mboko’s hard hitting.
