Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev defeated top seed Jannik Sinner to reach the semifinals of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships on Tuesday.

With the win, Daniil Medvedev has become the only tennis player to win over Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic at a Grand Slam. Medvedev, who was on a five-match losing streak against Jannik Sinner before Wimbledon, completed redemption in a five-set marathon.

Sinner won the first set via tiebreak. However, Medvedev won the second and third sets to get into a pole position against the ATP World No. 1. However, the Italian tennis star won the fourth set to make the set score 2-2. Nevertheless, the Russian tennis star secured a spot in the last four by sealing the victory 6-7 (7-9), 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 6-3 in four hours and one minute.
