WTA Finals 2024 Prize Money: How much will Coco Gauff, Qinwen Zheng earn after reaching final ?

The WTA Finals 2024 offers over $5.15m to the undefeated singles champion.
The title match of the WTA Finals 2024 will witness the clash between Coco Gauff and Qinwen Zheng. Both players will battle for the biggest prize money in the WTA history. The prize money pool for the event is $15,250,000 including singles and doubles. With more than $15m at stake, players will be aiming to clinch ultimate trophy of the season.
Gauff and Zheng have already pocketed $2,305,000 by reaching the championship match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The winner of the final would collect $ 2.5m which would bring the total to $4,805,000. Last season’s champion, Iga Swiatek was awarded $3,078,000 for her undefeated run in the event.
This season players received $335,000 as participation fee and $350,000 after each win in the group stage. The winners of the semi-final received $1,270,000.
This year’s prize money for the winner has beaten the record previously seen in the 2019 edition. Ashleigh Barty collected a cheque of $4.42 m after winning the title. Gauff and Zheng now have a chance to be a part of a milestone match.

Coco Gauff, Qinwen Zheng chase win in title match of WTA Finals 2024 to reach multiple career landmarks
The 2024 season has seen the American earn over $4.5m and has amassed $16,776,989 in terms of career prize money. On the other hand, Zheng has collected more than half of her career prize money this season. She has earned $3.25m in 2024 and has $6,006,577 career prize money.
Both players are looking to breach their respective marks in career prize money. Gauff will become the 10th active player and 25th overall on the WTA tour to earn $20m in prize money irrespective of the result in Riyadh.
Zheng could become the 74th WTA player to have collected more than $10m in career prize money. She is currently the 127th in terms of career prize money in WTA history and could jump over 60 places if she wins the title clash against Gauff.
There are multiple records including prize money which is at stake. 20-year-old Gauff can win the title if she maintains her current form but will face a player who has managed to keep up her best throughout the season. Gauff’s court coverage and her booming forehands with sleek volleys can do the trick as Zheng has already crossed the 400 aces mark this season. She will hope to add more in the final.
