Top five players with most titles won in 2024 WTA Tour
Diana Shnaider and Iga Swiatek lead the list of most titles won in 2024 WTA Tour.
The women of the WTA have put on quite the show in the 2024 season. Established stars have made strides in continuing their dominance on tour as well as scripting comebacks. Promising new talent has emerged to shake things up as a challenge to the status quo.
Overcoming the disappointment of the previous season, Aryna Sabalenka finished the year clinching the 2024 season and the world No. 1 spot. Iga Swiatek picked up from where she left off last season, adding another French Open title, a fourth, to her collection.

Coco Gauff made a late-season recovery to shrug off the disappointment of not defending her 2023 US Open crown. Gauff could not have asked for a better conclusion to the season than taking home the WTA Finals trophy in Riyadh. Rybakina, despite dealing with injuries, joined Gauff with three WTA titles this season, including in Stuttgart for the first time.
Diana Shnaider strode out into the spotlight by securing five titles in 2024. The WTA 500 title in Bad Homburg, Germany was among them. Shnaider is among the players with the most wins in the 2024 season.
Here we take a look at the list of tennis players with the most titles won in the 2024 WTA Tour.
Elena Rybakina – 3 titles
Elena Rybakina made a solid start by defeating the top two players in the WTA rankings, Iga Switak and Aryna Sabalenka, in the first half of the season. The Kazakh defeated Sabalenka (2) in Brisbane and denied Swiatek (1) a third start straight win in Stuttgart on her way to her first two titles of the season. Both meetings took place in the title round. The third title of 2024 came in Abu Dhabi with a straightforward win over seventh seed Daria Kasatkina.
Rybakina navigated a challenging year to finish the season with a 42-11 win-loss record. The World No. 6 was compelled to skip the Olympics and was unable to defend her titles at Indian Wells and Rome due to a lower back issue.
Coco Gauff – 3 titles
Coco Gauff’s 2024 season had a disappointing start after winning the WTA 250 title in Auckland. She made the semi-finals in Melbourne and Paris but returned empty-handed from both Grand Slams.
The 20-year-old Gauff proved her resilience when she won the China Open WTA 1000 title in her debut run to the finals. The American captured the WTA Finals trophy for the first time for her third title of the season to ensure the turnaround was complete.
Gauff defeated Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka back-to-back before ending Qinwen Zheng’s bid to become the first Chinese to win the WTA Finals trophy.

Aryna Sabalenka – 4
Aryna Sabalenka pocketed two Grand Slam titles for the first time in the same season by winning the Australian Open in January before following up with the US Open in September. The Minsk native further picked up WTA 1000 wins in Cincinnati and Wuhan. She was a strong contender to win the inaugural WTA Finals in Riyadh, but her campaign came to an end against Coco Gauff in the semi-finals.
The Belarusian player managed to oust Iga Swiatek from the world number 1 position, finishing on the top of the charts for the first time. Sabalenka lost out on becoming the year-end No. 1 last season following Iga Swiatek’s heroics at the 2023 WTA Finals. This year, Sabalenka ensured the honor was hers with a strong performance in Riyadh.
Diana Shnaider – 5 titles
Diana Shnaider completed a five-title haul to match Iga Swiatek’s collection in 2024. The 20-year-old Russian kicked off her campaign by taking the win in Thailand. Wins at Bad Homburg, Budapest and Hong Kong followed. Shnaider added a WTA 125 title in Paris to end her year on a high.
Shnaider powered her way through the WTA rankings, having begun 2024 at No. 97 to reach a career-high of No. 12 in November. The rise to become a top 20 player came on winning the Hong Kong Open. She defeated soon-to-be Olympic silver medallist Donna Vekic en route to her biggest triumph at the WTA 500 Bad Homburg Open.
Iga Swiatek – 5
The early part of Iga Swiatek’s season began with her holding sway over the proceedings. She has finished the 2024 season with a 5-0 clean sweep of the finals. Swiatek claimed victories in WTA 1000s in Qatar, Indian Wells, Madrid and Rome by the time she descended on Paris. Following the Madrid-Rome double, Swiatek became the third woman to pull off the feat after Dinara Safina (2009) and Serena Williams (2013).
The win at Roland Garros was one of five on the WTA tour earned by the World No. 2 in 2024. It was also her third straight French Open title and fourth overall. The Pole went on to win a bronze medal at the Summer Games in Paris. Despite losing the top spot in the WTA rankings to Aryna Sabalenka, she leads the field with five titles.
