Max Holloway’s UFC 329 payday revealed.

Max Holloway is about to cash the biggest check of his UFC career, and thanks to insider Ariel Helwani, fans finally have a real number to work with for what the Hawaiian stands to earn against a returning Conor McGregor at UFC 329.

Per Ariel Helwani, McGregor is guaranteed a base salary of at least $15 million before any bonuses or promotional incentives kick in.

That’s the kind of number only McGregor commands in this sport. Holloway, on the other hand, is expected to earn considerably less, with his payday landing somewhere around $3 million, which is actually close to his usual going rate for a fight.

Other reports circulating around the bout back this up. Multiple outlets have McGregor’s guaranteed purse in that same $15 million range, comfortably making him the highest-paid fighter on the card by a wide margin. Holloway’s number, while nowhere close, still stands out as one of the better paydays of his career.

How does Conor McGregor’s payday compare to his past fights?

This isn’t new territory for McGregor when it comes to big numbers. His trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier in 2021 reportedly earned him around $32 million once pay-per-view revenue was factored in, while the second Poirier bout brought in roughly $20 million.

Even by his own standards, though, a guaranteed $15 million for a comeback fight after five years out of the cage shows just how much pull he still has with the promotion.

To put things in perspective, Holloway’s overall net worth is estimated at around $5 million, almost all of it earned through fighting.

Across his UFC run, he’d built up more than $12.5 million in total career earnings before stepping in against McGregor. So this one fight, going by Helwani’s figure, is worth close to a quarter of everything he’s made in his entire career.

For comparison, Holloway pocketed somewhere between $2 million and $4 million for his last outing at UFC 326 back in March, once bonuses and sponsorships were added in. The McGregor fight tops that comfortably.

Worth noting, the UFC still doesn’t officially confirm purse numbers, so everything here is based on reporting rather than confirmed figures until something more official surfaces.
