Max Holloway cashed the biggest check of his UFC career, and thanks to insider Ariel Helwani, fans finally have a real number to work with for what the Hawaiian stands to earn against a returning Conor McGregor at UFC 329.
Per Ariel Helwani, McGregor was guaranteed a base salary of at least $15 million before any bonuses or promotional incentives kick in.
That’s the kind of number only McGregor commands in this sport. Holloway, on the other hand, is expected to earn considerably less, with his payday landing somewhere around $3 million, which is actually close to his usual going rate for a fight.
Other reports circulating around the bout back this up. Multiple outlets have McGregor’s guaranteed purse in that same $15 million range, comfortably making him the highest-paid fighter on the card by a wide margin. Holloway’s number, while nowhere close, still stands out as one of the better paydays of his career.
