UFC 308 is going to be exciting
A number of remarkable finishes have put Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway on a collision course, and the two will square battle in the UFC 308 main event on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, with the winner taking the featherweight championship.
The UFC’s annual autumn trip to the United Arab Emirates has traditionally produced massive championship moments and fight cards jam-packed with thrilling efforts, and this year’s installment should be no exception, as the captivating headlining bout is joined by a fascinating co-main event that was postponed earlier this year, as well as a slew of intriguing matches featuring established contenders, emerging names, and intriguing newcomers.
The anticipation for Ilia Topuria versus Max Holloway is tremendous as UFC 308 takes center stage in Abu Dhabi. The card is headed by unbeaten 145-pound monarch Ilia Topuria, who will defend his UFC Featherweight Title for the first time against former champion Max Holloway.
The leading UFC betting sites in the UK have listed Ilia Topuria as the clear betting favorite for the fight. Max Holloway is undoubtedly the underdog in this fight, with most UFC fans anticipating ‘El Matador’ to extend his undefeated record. However, Max Holloway has his own way of winning a fight.

UFC 308 Payouts for main eventers
Ilia Topuria
According to online sources and reports, ‘Matador’ Topuria got USD 350,000 for his win over Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298, and now that he is champion, he is looking for a bigger salary. As winner, Ilia Topuria will earn a basic salary of roughly USD 750,000.
Max Holloway
Holloway, for his part, competed in UFC 300 in April 2024, where he won with an agonizing knockout over Justin Gaethje. According to Sport Bible, he pocketed USD 2.1 million, plus two USD 300,000 bonuses, for a total of USD 2.7 million, so he could earn at least $2 million this Saturday.
Robert Whittaker vs Khamzat Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev will get at least USD 500,000, while Robert Whittaker will also earn a sizable sum. Both guys were supposed to face at UFC 302, but it got cancelled and now we will witness a good fight for sure.
Every other fighter on the main card
Some of the other top earners on the UFC 308 program are going to be Magomed Ankalaev USD 300,000, Dan Ige USD 250,000 and Lerrone Murphy USD 150,000.
The UFC prize money varies from event to event. For example, considering the size of the event and the stars Dana White had fighting on the ticket, the prize money on offer at UFC 300 was far larger than on previous shows.
For an event like UFC 308, the total prize money was reportedly well over USD 3 million. The winner of the main event will get the majority of the prize money.
