Action continues this week with UFC Oklahoma City.
Following UFC 329, the MMA leader will travel to Oklahoma City for a card headlined by two former champions, Dricus Du Plessis and Kamaru Usman. Live from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the eleven-fight card will mark UFC’s return to the city in over nine years.
The main event of the card pits Former middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis and former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in a middleweight showdown as both men look to cement their standing and call for a title shot.
Du Plessis enters the bout looking to rebound from his first defeat in nearly seven years after suffering a dominant loss to Khamzat Chimaev, in which he also lost the UFC middleweight title. The loss snapped his unbeaten run inside the Octagon and brought an end to his 11-fight winning streak.
Meanwhile, Usman returns for his first fight in 13 months. Although he previously competed in the division, it was on short notice against Chimaev. The upcoming fight with Du Plessis marks his first proper campaign at 185 pounds. Usman also heads into the contest with momentum after a composed victory over Joaquin Buckley in Atlanta last June.
Elsewhere, the co-main event features Jared Cannonier and Christian Leroy Duncan, while the rest of the card features names like Chase Hooper, Tabatha Ricci, Fatima Kline, and Mitch Ramirez, among others.
