Dricus Du Plessis and Kamaru Usman will headline UFC Oklahoma this weekend.

The UFC returns to Oklahoma City for the first time in nearly a decade, with UFC Fight Night: Du Plessis vs. Usman taking place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Paycom Center, marking the promotion’s debut at the venue.

The main event pits former middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis against former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in an 185-pound showdown, with both former titleholders looking to punch their way back into title contention.

Du Plessis enters the bout aiming to rebound from his first defeat in nearly seven years, a lopsided loss to Khamzat Chimaev that cost him the middleweight belt and snapped his 11-fight unbeaten run inside the Octagon.

Usman, meanwhile, is making his first full-scale appearance at 185 pounds since a short-notice showing against Chimaev in 2023, and is coming off a win over Joaquin Buckley last year at welterweight.

The co-main event features a middleweight clash between #11-ranked Jared Cannonier and #13-ranked Christian Leroy Duncan, while the rest of the main card includes Chase Hooper against Mitch Ramirez at lightweight and Tabatha Ricci against Fatima Kline at strawweight.

Dricus Du Plessis and Kamaru Usman’s estimated payout

Dricus Du Plessis has become one of the UFC’s highest-paid middleweights during his championship run, with his base salary reportedly climbing from $300,000 as a challenger to $1.2 million as titleholder. His biggest career payday came in his lopsided title loss to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319, where he reportedly banked around $3 million, factoring in his base purse plus PPV and sponsorship income.

For his first outing back since that defeat, Du Plessis is unlikely to command the full champion-tier purse he earned while holding gold, but given his continued drawing power and headliner status, his guaranteed base for UFC Oklahoma City is projected in the $700,000-$1,000,000 range, with total earnings potentially climbing higher via discretionary bonuses and sponsorship income.

Kamaru Usman’s earnings have fluctuated through the back half of his career. He reportedly earned around $750,000 for his short-notice middleweight bout against Chimaev, but for his most recent outing against Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlanta, official Georgia Athletic & Entertainment Commission filings showed he was paid a $300,000 show fee, with a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus and fight week incentive pay bringing his total to $366,000.

Given his main-event billing opposite a fellow former champion and his move up to middleweight, Usman’s purse for UFC Oklahoma City is projected in the $500,000-$750,000 range.

Jared Cannonier and Christian Leroy Duncan’s estimated payout

The co-main event carries a healthy purse for both middleweight contenders. Jared Cannonier’s recent paydays have ranged from a reported $80,000 base for his loss to Nassourdine Imavov to a guaranteed $350,000 plus $21,000 in sponsorship money for his fight against Caio Borralho.

Given his standing as a long-time top-15 contender and this fight’s co-main billing, Cannonier’s purse for UFC Oklahoma City is projected in the $250,000-$400,000 range.

Christian Leroy Duncan, still building his UFC resume, has previously earned in the range of $72,000-$150,000 for his appearances, including a reported $72,000 purse in his loss to Gregory Rodrigues at UFC 304. His payout for this card is expected to land in a similar bracket, likely boosted given the increased visibility of a co-main event slot.

UFC Oklahoma City: Other fighters’ estimated payouts

Chase Hooper, a veteran of the lightweight division with over a dozen UFC appearances, has recently drawn compliance pay in the $6,000 tier alongside base purses that have grown steadily since his promotional debut, with his estimated fight purse for this card in the $50,000-$80,000 range.

Tabatha Ricci has seen her earnings rise as she has climbed the strawweight rankings, with a reported base purse of around $100,000 for her fight against Yan Xiaonan and an estimated $120,000 for a subsequent main card appearance. Her purse for UFC Oklahoma City is projected in a similar $100,000-$130,000 bracket.

Fatima Kline, stepping in on relatively short notice as a replacement opponent, is expected to earn a promotional-tier purse typically reserved for fighters with a handful of UFC appearances, likely in the $30,000-$50,000 range.
