WWE Draft 2023 Predictions: Brock Lesnar to Raw, Austin Theory to SmackDown
The fight between the red and blue brands is on as the pools are revealed.
The WWE Draft 2023 kicks off tonight, on SmackDown and will continue on the following episode of Raw. This iconic event of brand split is said to occur for the 17th time between the red and blue Brands. As the fans are already excited about the draft, WWE has revealed the pools for each night of the draft.
This creates a whole new hype, as there are some notable things to watch from the pool. So here are some bold predictions for WWE Draft 2023.
The Bloodline (SmackDown)
The Bloodline will stay on the blue brand. The Draft pool reveals that the whole Bloodline will not be drafted all at once. As Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa are the only members of the Bloodline who are eligible for selection on Day 1 of the Draft this SmackDown. Jimmy & Jey Uso are on the Day 2 list of the Draft pool.
However, this doesn’t mean that the bloodline is going to split between brands. As SmackDown being the ‘A’ show for a while, The Tribal Chief will be the first pick of the 2023 draft and will keep his Undisputed Universal Championship in SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes (Raw)
The “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes will be the first pick of Raw. Cody Rhodes has developed a new feud against Brock Lesnar and both remaining in the same brand will always make sense. However, Cody clearly has an eye on becoming the World Champion, capturing the vacant WWE World Heavyweight will be the better way.
The Judgement Day (SmackDown)
The entire Judgement Day will move to the Blue Brand. As Rhea Ripley is the SmackDown Women’s Champion and the primary enemy of Judgement Day, the Latino World Order (LWO) remaining in the Smackdown will make this storyline even more interesting.
Imperium (Raw)
“The Ring General” Gunther along with the members of imperium- Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci will move to the red brand. Since Gunther made his main roster debut, he has destroyed almost every superstar in the SmackDown roster and remains the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion. Drafting the entire Imperium to Raw will develop some new feud and can help him extend his title reign.

Austin Theory (SmackDown)
“The United States Champion” Austin Theory to SmackDown. Since his main roster debut, Austin theory got some constant push and he has used it to transform himself into a championship status. Though he provides good matches, his feud with Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley has limited his exposure to newer opponents. Thus moving him to Smackdown will create a new feud.
Brock Lesnar (Raw)
Brock Lesnar to Raw. Brock Lesnar is one of the top stars in WWE and is known for big matches. His loss against Roman Reigns had made him move to the mid card in recent times. As he cannot compete with Roman Reigns for the Championship until Roman remains champion, being in the other brand will make him recapture the spotlight. “The Beast” has also developed a new feud with Cody. Thus both being in the same brand will create a better storyline.
Becky Lynch (SmackDown)
“Big Time Becks” for SmackDown. Becky Lynch is one of the big stars in the WWE Women’s division. After losing the Raw Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair, Becky was constantly feuding with Bayley and Damage Control. Becky moving to SmackDown will create a fresh start and will boost the SmackDown Women’s division. A possible Lynch vs Rhea would fire up the Women’s roster to an all-new level.
Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens (Raw)
Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens moving to Raw. The Current Undisputed Tag Team Champions, Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens are said to defend their Tag titles against Jimmy & Jey Uso on SmackDown. However, with or without the Tag titles, they might be moving to Raw and put a pause to their feud with the Bloodline and begin an all new storyline.
Bron Breakker (SmackDown)
Well, this is the right time for Bron Breakker to make his main roster debut. Bron has already proved his abilities in the NXT, his addition to Smackdown will boost the roster. Bron seems to be like a SmackDown kind of a guy, if utilized correctly he could reach the heights and can even become the face of the company. If drafted to SmackDown, Bron feuding up against Austin Theory will fire up the SmackDown roster.

Bobby Lashley (Raw)
“The Almighty” Bobby Lashley is one of the toughest guys in the business. Bobby remaining in the red brand can boost the red brand and make it the powerhouse of WWE. Bobby Lashley and Gunther had never fought with each other face to face. Developing this feud on the Raw brand and making a powerhouse clash will be a treat to watch. Bobby marching towards the vacant World Heavyweight Championship and restarting the feud with Brock will make perfect sense.
