MITB is one of the most anticipated events of the year
Money in the Bank is one of the highly anticipated premium WWE live events, which is scheduled to occur at London, United Kingdom on July 1, 2023. The Money in the Bank Ladder Match is the highlight of the event and it has a separate fan base. The winner of the Money in the Bank briefcase has almost guaranteed an opportunity to win any championship in WWE, by having a match anytime, anywhere by cashing it. There are multiple rumors on who will be winning the briefcase. So, here we rank the top 3 favourites to win WWE Money in the Bank 2023.
3. Matt Riddle
Matt Riddle made his return to WWE on Raw after WrestleMania and had a voluntary feud with The Bloodline, by joining hands with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. He had a warm welcome from the WWE universe and is one of the favourites to win the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Adding hope to this statement, Riddle was said to participate in the Money in the Bank Qualifying match next week. The Intercontinental Champion Gunther had a quick face off with Riddle and said, He was so excited for Riddle to win the Money in the Bank Briefcase and cash it on him.
Will Riddle win the MITB briefcase and cash it on the secondary championship like Austin Theory did last year?
2. Edge
“The Rated R Superstar” Edge is one of the favourites to win the Money in the Bank this year. Edge recently talked about his retirement plans on twitter through a video and clearly explained his wish to win the new World Heavyweight Championship. So this will be a perfect opportunity for Edge to fulfill his dream by winning the MITB briefcase.
Edge had already won the Money in the Bank briefcase twice, and cashed it successfully on both the occasions. He is the inaugural MITB winner and the first one to win the MITB briefcase without participating in the MITB match. To fulfill his dream and have a fairytale ending to his career, winning the MITB briefcase will make perfect sense.
1. Finn Balor
“The Prince” Finn Balor is the top pick to win the WWE Money in the Bank match in the United Kingdom. Judgement Day is currently one of the dominant stables on the Raw brand. Rhea Ripley won the first championship for the stable at WrestleMania, and the fellow mates are highly potential to clinch the gold. Balor being the experienced one in the crew, he has high chances to win the MITB briefcase.
He is the first-ever Universal Champion and his reign didn't last a day due to a legitimate shoulder injury he forfeited the championship. Since then Balor was not given a push to attain the primary championship. This could be a perfect opportunity for Balor to regain his position by grabbing the briefcase and cashing it on Seth Rollins to become the World Heavyweight Champion for the first time. It could help Judgement Day to become one of the powerful force in WWE and will open opportunities for multiple faces in the company.
