Cody Rhodes vs Bray Wyatt would be great for Bray Wyatt and make a lot of sense for The American Nightmare after SummerSlam 2023.

Bray Wyatt hasn’t been in the ring or on TV for a long time. His last match on TV was at the Royal Rumble in 2023 when he was fighting with LA Knight. After that, he dropped out of sight. At first, no one knew why he wasn’t there, but now we know that Bray Wyatt is out because of an illness that we don’t know much about.

While Wyatt was away, special effects makeup artist Jason Baker posted a surprise picture of the former Universal Champion on Twitter. The picture showed Wyatt wearing a burned Fiend mask, likely from when he played the scary character that people loved to watch.

The post has given a hint of Wyatt’s return soon to the squared circle.

As SummerSlam gets closer, the gossip mill has started up again, and it sounds like Wyatt might go after Cody Rhodes in Detroit if he comes back. The American Nightmare and Roman Reigns are the most likely to have a fight with The Eater of Worlds when he comes back, and fans can’t decide which one they like better.

Many speculations are being made but what will happen at WWE SummerSlam? It can be expected that we might see a returning Bray Wyatt after a long wait. But, who his opponent will be is not known yet?

Cody Rhodes vs Bray Wyatt – Why does it make sense?

Cody Rhodes vs Bray Wyatt would be great for Bray Wyatt and make a lot of sense for The American Nightmare. The Grandson of a Plumber’s journey since WrestleMania 39 has been compared to John Cena’s journey since WrestleMania 28 because of a few major connections.

Before they met Brock Lesnar at The Show Of Shows, both had what could have been the biggest losses of their lives. Most likely, Rhodes will end his story with The Beast at SummerSlam, which will open up a chance for him to face The Eater of the World. The Fiend Bray Wyatt trying to break Rhodes’s spirit and turn him bad would be a nice callback to their fight.

Also, it won’t be fun if Wyatt faces Reigns as WWE won’t strip him of his title just yet. And with the conclusion already known WWE would want to make the booking more smartly. Also, to bring Wyatt or Rhodes as a championship contender they need to build an excellent storyline around both the superstars.
