The Rated ‘R’ Superstar, Edge is a great professional wrestler with a great wrestling career. He has been into wrestling for 25 years, where he doesn’t have anything left to accomplish. He has been in the highs of high and lows of low and always delivered what’s best for business. Celebrating 25 years of greatness, here are the top 10 greatest moments of Edge.
10. Making Kurt Angle Bald
Back in 2002, Edge had a feud with Kurt Angle, the feud went so far that they came to sacrifice their hair following defeat. They mutually agreed to have a hair vs hair match at Judgement Day, where the loser’s hair will be shaved off, where Edge won and shaved Kurt’s head after a long chase. Yes, ladies and gentleman Edge is the artist of Kurt’s bald art.
9. Wins first ever Money in the Bank
WWE introduced the Money in the Bank ladder match for the first time in 2005. The match was announced at WrestleMania 21 where Edge won the Money in the Bank briefcase by defeating Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Christian, Kane and Shelton Benjamin to become the inaugural Money in the Bank winner.

8. Spear Mick Foley through the Flaming Table
Edge lost his WWE Championship to John Cena at Royal Rumble, where Mick Foley was the Special guest referee. Where Edge blamed Foley for being corrupt and biased. Edge attacked him and Foley attacked him back leading to a Hardcore match between the two at WrestleMania 22. Where the match went too brutal with blood, abrasion and thumbtacks over the back, at the end Edge won the match by spearing Foley out of the ring through the flamed table.
7. Live S*x Celebration
Edge won the first world championship in WWE at New Year’s Revolution by defeating Cena for the WWE Championship. The following night on Raw, Edge decided to celebrate the win with a “Live S*x Celebration” in the middle of the ring. The segment ended with the interference of Cena and Ric Flair. However the segment earned a 5.2 rating which is the highest Raw rating in over a year.
6. Wins First Ever TLC Match
WWE announced a first ever TLC match for the WWF Tag Team Championship match between The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian at SummerSlam 2000. The match went extreme where extreme stunts, destruction of objects and injuries occured in and there. Edge & Christian won the match although all the seven (including Lita) risked their body to showcase a great match.

5. First Retirement & Hall of Fame
Back to 2011, when Edge was the World Heavyweight Champion, who defeated Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania XXVII came back to Raw one week after and delivered an emotional speech about his neck injuries and how it made him unable to compete. He then announced that he was forced to retire and relinquished his World title. He retired as a world champion and got inducted into the Hall of Fame the following year.
4. Cashes-in on The Undertaker
Mr. Kennedy won the 2007 Money in the Bank and announced that he is not going to cash in the Money in the Bank, where Edge challenged him for the Briefcase and won. Same week on SmackDown, Undertaker successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Batista after which he was attacked by Mark Henry. After Henry laid the Phenom down, Edge came with the briefcase, successfully cashed-in his Money in the Bank Briefcase and won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time.
3. Wins Royal Rumble 2010
In 2009, Edge and Jericho were the Unified Tag Team Champions with both WWE & World Tag Team Championships. Edge tore his Achilles Tendon and went for a surgery, where Jericho replaced Edge with Bigshow and talked trash about Edge and his Injury. At Royal Rumble 2010, Edge returned as a surprise entrant at 29th spot to have revenge on Jericho by eliminating him and won the Royal Rumble Match for the first time by eliminating Cena at the end.

2. Return at Royal Rumble 2020
After 9 years of retirement, Edge returned at the 2020 Royal Rumble Match for the time as the 21st entrant and shocked the whole WWE Universe. His return was considered as one of the greatest returns of all time. Edge eliminated a total of three, but wasn’t able to win the match as he was eliminated by Roman Reigns.
1. First Money in the Bank Cash-in
In 2006, John Cena defended his WWE Championship at New Year’s Revolution in an Elimination Chamber match, where Cena managed to retain the championship by risking his body, bleeding and losing all of his energy. Where McMahon walked in the mic and announced that the match is not yet over as Edge is cashing-in his Money in the Bank contract. Edge rushed to the ring and hit two spears on Cena to win the WWE Championship for the first time, marking his first world championship win.
