The ring is set, and fans are all geared up for “The Biggest Party of the Summer”

WWE SummerSlam is said to take place at the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan this Saturday on August 5th. The company has been striving very hard to make this a memorable event. Multiple high profile matches have been booked, great storylines were built with high expectations and rumors around the event.

With multiple returning rumors around the event, a former champion of the company, who has been away from television for a long time due to injury is spotted at Detroit. Who is the injured Superstar? Why is he here? Is he a part of SummerSlam 2023? Here are the detailed answers for your question.

Who is the Injured WWE Superstar?

PWInsider reported that, the former WWE United States Champion, Bobby Roode (Robert Roode) was spotted at Detroit, Michigan, where the SummerSlam is said to take place in two days. Roode has been in and out of television on multiple occasions, and his absence is not merely noticed. He has been away from in-ring action for more than a year.

The last appearance of Roode was in June 2022, where Roode and Ziggler interrupted Omos and MVP who ran after Ziggler super kicked Omos. He then went missing due to a neck injury and a couple of neck fusion surgeries. It was reported earlier this year that the Glorious One will remain out of action throughout this year for recovery.

However, his recent appearance at Detroit is creating a buzz about his WWE return. Rumors around the news speculate that he would return to in-ring action this SummerSlam and would possibly be a part of SummerSlam Battle Royal Match. Despite the rumors, his recent neck fusion surgery was in May, and it would be too early for him to step foot back in the ring for a match.

Thereby the in-ring return of the 47-year-old is unlikely to happen at SummerSlam. If he steps back on the ring this Saturday, it would only be at his own risk.  Although he is not expected to return this Saturday, there are high chances of him returning in the near future.
