“The biggest party of the summer,” has been a cornerstone event in the world of professional wrestling for decades.

Returning to the wrestling ring after a break, no matter whether it’s a short or long break, is always a great moment not only for a wrestler, but also for the fans. Making a big return could have a big impact on a wrestler’s career. What’s way more bigger than returning at the biggest event SummerSlam. Listing those in numbers, here are the top five most epic WWE SummerSlam returns of all time:

5. Triple H- 2007

At New Year’s Revolution, Triple H tore his right quadriceps and suffered a legitimate injury, which made him stay away from in-ring competition for more than 6 months. In Triple H’s absence, Booker T entered with Triple H’s “King of Kings” entrance music and said, neither Jerry “The King” Lawler, nor Triple H is the King, and claimed himself as the one and only king.

Booker T then had a match with Jerry Lawler and won, while being crowned as the King, Lawler refused as Triple H was not yet beaten. So he announced a match between Booker T and Triple H at SummerSlam. Similar to the 2023 SummerSlam, not the “Tribal Chief” title, but the “The King” title was on the line. After a long absence, Triple H made his return at the 2007 SummerSlam and won, proving that he is “The King” himself.

Bianca Belair, who was the SmackDown Women’s Champion at the time, was said to defend her championship against Sasha Banks. However, Sasha suffered an injury and was not cleared to compete for the match, her spot was about to be replaced bg Carmella.

Before the bell rang, Becky Lynch music hit and she came back after a year long maternity leave. She attacked Carmella and challenged Bianca Belair as a replacement for Sasha Banks.
