Top 10 WWE Superstars who will be out of contract soon
Contracts and expiration play a major role in a wrestler’s career. It helps them in a lot of ways to negotiate a better deal and switch between promotions. In promotions like WWE, the promotion tries to keep the wrestlers exclusive to their brand as long as possible by signing a multi-year deal. So here is a list of the top 10 WWE Superstars who are nearing to go out of contract soon.
10. The Dyad
Jagger Reid and Rip Flower are a tag team in NXT work under the team name The Dyad. They previously wrestled for NXT UK under the name “Grizzled Young Veterans” and they have been the NXT UK Tag Team Champions. They have been wrestling for WWE since 2018 under the tag team division on NXT. Their contract with WWE is said to expire in October 2023, however they are requesting for an early release from the company.
9. Lacey Evans
Lacey Evans has been in WWE since 2016, but had limited in-ring matches on the main roster. She had been on and off the television throughout the run and it was now announced that her contract ended midnight as she announced her departure from the company on her social media account.
8. Mustafa Ali
Mustafa Ali has been in WWE since 2016. He has requested for a release in 2022, but Vince declined the request. Ali then returned to television a few months later and continued to wrestle for the company. He announced that he still has two and half years left in the company. Fightful reported that Ali’s contract is coming to an end in mid 2024. He is currently having a great run in NXT, and fans started supporting him. Although whether he will sign a contract extension or not is in the hands of him.

7. Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke signed a five year contract with WWE in 2019. Although she didn’t have done much for the company, she has been in an entertaining storyline with the 24/7 Championship. She has been sent to the developmental brand NXT and currently wrestling for the brand. Her contract is about to expire in 2024, whether she will continue or get terminated depends on the decision of the company.
6. Matt Riddle
Matt Riddle has been in WWE since 2018, he is currently one of the top babyfaces of the company. He has been suspended by WWE on multiple occasions for crossing the wellness policy of the company. The company warned him that if he refused to follow the policy that he would be fired from the company. However, the Original Bro’s contract is about to expire at the end of 2023. Will he continue or will be released is based on the terms with him and the management.
5. Alexa Bliss
Alexa Bliss has been away from television for maternity leave since earlier this year. She signed her latest contract in 2022, which is about to expire around March 2024. However, her contract is expected to be extended for a longer term if she wishes to return before the contract expires.
4. Randy Orton
Randy Orton’s current contract with WWE is said to expire in 2024. Orton extended his previous contract with a salary of $4.5 million per year. He is currently in rehabilitation after a back surgery. Although his return is being debated, he will be continuing with the company by further extension of the deal.
3. Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre returned to the company in 2017 and had a great World Championship run. However, during his absence after WrestleMania, it was rumored that he is disappointed with the company. However, he returned and started wrestling, with that return he is now on the final year of his contract. Fightful reported that McIntyre’s contract is expected to end in early 2024. Whether he will continue or terminate his contract is based on the terms with him and the company.

2. Edge
Edge after his return in 2020 signed a four year contract with WWE. Edge has been teasing that it will be his final run as he is looking for a possible retirement. To strengthen the rumors related to his retirement, his contract is about to expire this year. Whether he will continue wrestling or not is completely in his hands.
1. Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio spoke about his retirement multiple times on television. However Triple H requested him to continue wrestling. He got inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2023 as an active wrestler and is now the United States Champion. With the championship on his waist, his contract is less than a month away from expiring. As per speculations Rey would sign a contract extension but as a manager of LWO and retire from wrestling. Although whether to continue or terminate the wrestling career is all in his hands.
