‘The Tribal Chief’ has been champion for 1,072+ days

Roman Reigns has been the Universal Champion since August 2020 and has been carrying the championship for 1,072+ days. He successfully defended his championship for three years and also unified the WWE Championship to form Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

On the 1000th day of his Universal Championship reign, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H awarded him with a new Undisputed WWE Universal Championship as a replacement of the two.

At SummerSlam 2023, Roman defended the Championship against his cousin Jey Uso to retain the championship and continue the reign towards 1,100 days. In this situation, Fightful Select has come out with updates on when will Roman Reigns lose his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship?

The report stated that top baby faces who faced Roman Reigns for the title including Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso were not a part of serious consideration to dethrone Reigns and capture the gold this year, as the results were known more earlier. So Fightful directly asked a WWE source, when would Roman be losing his title?

The Unknown source replied,

“Whenever Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman say it f*ckin’ ends.” So in the event Roman Reigns loses the World Championship, it was said that the two would have heavy input as to who that would be, whether it be tonight, or a year or two down the line. “They are constantly looking at every possibility. When they think it’s the very best thing for business, they’ll know to switch it up, do it right, and really make someone doing it,” the higher up indicated.”

The source continued that whenever WWE feels like the right time to switch the titles, they would “do it right” and “make someone do it”.
