Why Austin Theory deserve a face run in WWE soon?

The former US champion is one of the youngest and most talented prospects in the company
Austin Theory was drafted to the Raw brand in 2021 and had long associations with McMahon. McMahon gave him the push right away as he saw him as the future face of the company. 2022 was a year to remember for theory as he was inserted in every major match of the company. Theory entered his first Royal Rumble Match, first Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship, first WrestleMania, first Money in the Bank match and so on.
As Austin Theory started getting inserted into almost every match by bending the rules made the WWE Universe spread hatred on him and that made him a notable heel of the company. Theory’s United States Championship run is one of the reasons for his heel turn as his victories made him too cocky and disrespectful to veterans of the business. Since he lost the United States Championship to Rey Mysterio, it will be the perfect time for Austin Theory to turn face for the first time.
Why does Austin Theory deserve a face run?
WWE at present is filled with heel wrestlers and villainous gimmicks, and there is a shortage of babyface wrestlers, especially on SmackDown. As WWE keeps comparing him with John Cena and sees him as the future face of the company, his face turn could change his non-directional career to a steady path. If a right push is made for a face, he would possibly fulfill the company’s expectation. Being one of the youngest talents, a face run could benefit the company one or more ways in the long term.
Austin Theory already started breaking characters on social media and while interacting with fans. On a recent Instagram post, he shared a video of him wearing an Iron Man Mask, stating “It’s time to save the world” and asking Jarvis to close the mask. The video got more attention on social media and the fans had already begun speculating his possible babyface run in WWE. While going through the comments of the video, It seems like a lot of WWE fans are excited to see Theory as a face.
