LA Knight to replace AJ Styles & team up with John Cena at WWE Fastlane

John Cena and AJ Styles have been involved in a feud with The Bloodline since the beginning of this month. Jimmy Uso is the main reason for the feud as he kept messing with both the veterans. On the September 15th episode of SmackDown, when Cena appeared on the Grayson Waller Effect, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa attacked Cena, where Styles came to save John Cena.
In the latest episode of WWE SmackDown John Cena and AJ Styles challenged Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa in a tag team match the same day. But Paul Heyman changed the venue to Fastlane with the permission of The Tribal Chief. Before the contract signing to the match, AJ Styles was brutally assaulted by Jimmy and Solo backstage. The brutal attack injured AJ Styles as he went unconscious and was taken for medical attention.
John Cena came to the ring to fight them alone, as they assaulted Cena too. As Solo and Jimmy signed the contract, who will join Cena became a big question mark.
LA Knight to join Cena
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, LA Knight will be teaming up with John Cena and main event Fastlane.
Dave Meltzer says, “LA Knight and John Cena, is, in theory, the pay-per-view main event.”
It was previously reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that LA Knight was about to save Cena during the contract signing and have a dark match teaming with him. However, his COVID-19 positive result took him away from the television.
Based on the recent reports, Knight is recovering well and will probably be cleared before Fastlane. If Knight tested negative before Fastlane, he would definitely replace AJ Styles and team up with John Cena to take on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
