WWE update CM Punk’s official Alumni Profile

CM Punk was moved from active roster to alumni roster on July 15, 2014 without any releasing statement from the company. The same day Punk thanked his fans, without mentioning WWE. Later the same year Punk announced that he “never ever” wanted to wrestle again. He also revealed that there are unpaid royalties by the company and got released on his wedding day. Punk then announced that he is retiring from pro-wrestling. He then pursued a career in MMA, hosted WWE backstage for Fox Sports and did sports commentary.
However CM Punk gave a comeback to professional wrestling, and made his AEW debut, where he wrestled from August 2021 to August 2023 and got released due to backstage controversy, which went physical. Since his AEW release, CM Punk’s WWE return rumor has been buzzing the internet. WWE however has been teasing multiple references of Punk more regularly. Now a recent internet activity of the company made the wrestling fans go crazy.
CM Punk Profile update
WWE is two weeks away from hosting one of the big five shows of the promotion Survivor Series: WarGames 2023, which is to be held at Chicago, Illinois, which is the hometown of CM Punk. When rumors of his return are going viral on the internet, a wrestling fan noted that WWE has recently updated CM Punk’s alumni profile page on the official website. The fan shared a picture of the updated proof on X (Twitter).
This move has been running the internet, where fans believe that they are getting the hopes that Punk’s return could be possible. This is the first time that WWE has been updating his profile after a very long time.
Do you think, that this is an indication that WWE are dropping hints of Punk to possibly bring back him at Survivor Series: War Games 2023.
