Roman Reigns has become a part time wrestler in recent years after winning the Universal Championship and WWE Championship to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The recent reports reveal that The Tribal Chief has only wrestled 11 matches in 2023, which is 79% lower than the previous years. However, here we take a look at the five surprising WWE Superstars with more matches than Roman Reigns in 2023.

5. Gable Steveson (11 matches)

In late 2020, Gable Steveson, The American Olympic Gold Medalist revealed that he signed to WWE to pursue a career in professional wrestling. He made his debut in NXT in late 2022 and started appearing on television occasionally. It is quite surprising that Gable Steveson has equalled the same amount of matches as Roman Reigns in 2023, with 11 matches in total.

4. Sanga (12 matches)

Sanga, one of the pillars of Indus Sher, had very rare wrestling matches in 2023, however it is noted that he had wrestled more matches than The Tribal Chief. Sanga wrestled a total of 12 matches in 2023, which is one match ahead of Roman Reigns.

3. Lexis King (14 matches) 

Lexis King, the son of Brian Pillman moved from AEW to WWE in July 2023 and made his WWE debut in October 2023. Dexter Lumis was not seen on television for a very long time and was spotted only four times on the television in 2023. However, Lumis is revealed to have more matches in 2023 than Roman Reigns. Lumis wrestled a total of 18 matches this year, which is seven matches ahead of Roman Reigns.
