Has CM Punk ever main evented WWE WrestleMania?

CM Punk made his surprise WWE return at Survivor Series 2023 and made a huge impact on the company. Punk then revealed that he has come to the company for one reason which is to main event WrestleMania. CM Punk was so confident that he will main event this year’s WrestleMania, by winning the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble.
However, Punk’s WrestleMania dream got shattered as he tore his triceps and will miss WrestleMania this year. Since Punk has been claiming to main event WrestleMania, it raises the question of whether the Second City Saint has ever main evented WWE WrestleMania?
The answer to this question now, after WrestleMania 41, is yes, CM Punk has main evented WrestleMania. Punk headlined Night One of the 41st edition. Here we take a look at CM Punk’s all WrestleMania appearances.
CM Punk’s history at WrestleMania
CM Punk has been a part of WrestleMania seven times where he has won three and lost four. Where he has only 35% win rate. CM Punk’s first WrestleMania appearance was at WrestleMania 23, where he was a part of the Money in the Bank match in which Mr. Kennedy won. In WrestleMania 24 and 25, Punk was a part of the Money in the Bank match and won both.
Punk’s first singles WrestleMania match was back in 2010, where the leader of Straight Edge Society challenged Rey Mysterio in a singles match and lost. In WrestleMania 27, the leader of The New Nexus, faced Randy Orton and lost in a mid-card match. In WrestleMania 28, Punk defended his WWE Championship, which was the pre-main event of the show.
Punk competed at WrestleMania 29, where he was a part of the triple main event, where Punk tried to end The Undertaker’s Streak with Paul Heyman, but failed. Although it was claimed as a triple main event, The Rock vs John Cena was the actual main event of the show.
Punk’s most recent Mania appearance came on April 19, 2025, where he participated in a triple-threat match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. The match took place in the main event of the first night of the PLE with Punk realizing his dream of headlining Mania.
