These stars have double-digit Rumble appearances

The Royal Rumble match is one of the most exciting matches in the pro-wrestling industry. The match has a separate fan base and carries great anticipation. Rumble matches are purely based on eliminating opponents by tossing them over the top rope until the last one survives in the ring.

It occurs yearly once and makes a huge impact on the road to WrestleMania. Here we take a look at the top six WWE Superstars who appeared in the most number of Royal Rumble matches.

6. Shawn Michaels/ Big Show (12 appearances)

Shawn Michaels and Big Show share the fifth spot for the most Royal Rumble appearances with 12 appearances each. Shawn Michaels’ first Rumble match appearance was in 1989 and last was in 2010, in which he had won two. Big Show’s first Rumble match appearance was in 2000 and he last appeared in 2017.

5. Goldust (13 appearances)

Goldust stands fourth in our list with 13 rumble match appearances. Goldust’s first rumble match appearance was in 1997 and the last appearance was in the 2017 Greatest Royal Rumble match. Although he appeared 13 times, he was unsuccessful in his attempt to win the Rumble match.

4. Randy Orton/ Rey Mysterio (15 appearances)

Both Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio share the fourth spot with 15 Rumble match appearances. Both are on the active roster and are expected to beat the record by this year or in the upcoming years. In their 15 Rumble match appearances, Randy Orton had won two, and Rey Mysterio had won one. Former WWE stars Dolph Ziggler aka Nic Nemeth is also tied with Orton and Rey with 15 appearances.

3. Kofi Kingston (16 appearances)

Kofi Kingston is in third spot with 16 appearances in the Rumble match. He began his Rumble match journey in 2009 but has been unsuccessful in his attempt to win the Rumble match. His best finish in the match has been at 6th which he achieved during the 2010 edition.

2. The Miz (17 appearances)

Kofi Kingston was tied with The Miz, who, following his 2025 Royal Rumble match appearance, broke his tie with Dolph Ziggler and was currently tied with Kingston at 16 Rumble appearances. Miz’s appearance in the 2-26 Rumble has moved him up a spot as with 17 appearances.

1. Kane (20 appearances)

Kane has the most number of Royal Rumble appearances in WWE history with 20 appearances. Kane entered his first Rumble match in 1996 and his last appearance was in 2021.

He also owns the most eliminations in the Rumble match with 46 eliminations. However, Kane is out of action and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2021.
