Is ‘The Beast Incarnate’ en route to make his WWE return
With WWE Survivor Series: WarGames on the horizon, a photo of Brock Lesnar has sparked a big social media firestorm, especially considering Roman Reigns’ Bloodline is looking for its fifth member.
This occurred after Adam Pearce shared a photograph of himself, Brock Lesnar, and Paul Heyman on social media with no context.
Brock Lesnar’s last appearance in WWE
Brock Lesnar last appeared in WWE at SummerSlam 2023 over a year ago. He lost his last fight against Cody Rhodes at the PLE. He was scheduled to return at Crown Jewel or en route to WrestleMania 40.
WWE distanced themselves from the star after his name came up in the Vince McMahon case. All mentions of him were removed from the product, so fans were taken aback by Pearce’s newest social media post.
The flashback photograph featured Paul Heyman with Brock Lesnar on a stretcher, while Pearce was in the background. Fans were surprised to see the general manager share this photograph in anticipation of WarGames.
Due to Heyman’s involvement, speculation arose that this might foreshadow future events. Fans suggested that CM Punk could join The Bloodline as their fifth member because of his connection to Heyman.
Many fans believe that the Bloodline vs Bloodline match should have remained a four-on-four format in WarGames. This four-on-four setup was established in the 2018 NXT WarGames event, so repeating it would not have been unexpected.
Transitioning to a five-on-five format could lead to more complications than solutions. The most significant criticism focuses on Seth Rollins‘ inclusion in the match. Rollins put his body on the line during back-to-back WrestleMania nights seven months ago to take down Roman’s Bloodline, ultimately losing the World Heavyweight Championship.
It seems illogical for him to join Roman Reigns in his attempt to reclaim power. Despite the negative fan reactions, WWE still has the opportunity to salvage this narrative by November 30.
It would be interesting to see what WWE has planned for fans. But for now, speculations are running high with Lesnar, Punk & many others being considered as the 5th man for WWE Survivor Series: War Games 2024.
