CM Punk is rumored to make his return at the upcoming PLE
WWE megastar CM Punk is currently on an extended break from in-ring competition after his brutal Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre at the Bad Blood 2024 PLE.
Punk and Drew McIntyre had a long-time rivalry since late 2023, however, they had their first match at SummerSlam, with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee. McIntyre won the match by delivering a low blow and Claymore won the match.
At Bash in Berlin, Punk and McIntyre faced off in a strap match, where Punk won by touching all four turnbuckles to level the score. Then, at Bad Blood 2024, Punk pinned McIntyre to claim a 2-1 victory and bring an end to their rivalry.
The WWE fandom has been buzzing since the announcement that The Second City Saint will be a part of an upcoming live event which will be taking place on December 26. Rumors also suggest that Punk will be making an appearance at the upcoming Survivor Series PLE.

CM Punk has a long history with Paul Heyman
Since the rumors of The Second City Saint‘s appearance, many fans have been wondering if he will be the fifth member of the OG faction in their WarGames match against Sikoa’s Bloodline.
The OG Bloodline which is led by Roman Reigns will take on Solo Sikoa‘s led Bloodline in a five-on-five match. Earlier it was a four vs four clashes but was later changed to a five vs five match, this pushed both factions to look for the fifth member for the WarGames clash.
Sikoa’s faction has found its fifth member in Bronson Reed as the faction attacked Reigns and Company on the 11/15 episode of SmackDown. The OG faction is still looking for their fifth member.
Reigns also tries to contact ‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman at the end of the show, which signals the potential return of the Wiseman. Heyman might be the trump card in the Bloodline clash as the OG faction currently needs someone who can guide them in the right direction and consolidate the group which is in shambles.
Given the history of Punk and Paul Heyman, there is a possibility that The Second City Saint will join forces with the OG faction. The professional dynamic between the two developed into an engaging storyline in late 2012, during Punk’s record-breaking 434-day reign as WWE Champion.
The Second City Saint also has a beef to pick with Sikoa’s Bloodline as the rogue faction tried to attack him when Heyman went to ask for help in June from Punk during Reign’s absence. Paul and Heyman were saved from the attack by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
Who do you think should be the fifth member of the OG Bloodline faction? Do you want CM Punk to join forces with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comment section.
