‘The OTC’ will take part in the 2025 Rumble Match

‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns is regarded as one of the biggest stars in the Stamford-based promotion and one look at his accomplishments in the WWE clears any doubt in fans’ minds.

Roman’s 1316 days title reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion is the fourth-longest world title reign in the promotion’s history and the longest championship reign since 1988. Apart from this, his reign is one of the most dominant title reigns in the promotion.

The OTC has participated in a total of seven Royal Rumble matches, his first Rumble appearance was in 2014 which was held at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The best Royal Rumble of Reigns’ career is undoubtedly the 2015 one where he emerged victorious.

After winning the Rumble, Roman went on to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31. However, his dreams of becoming the champion were shattered by his former Shield stablemate ‘The Visionary’ Seth Rolins.

Rollins cashed in the MITB contract during the Mania clash which made the match a triple threat. The Visionary picked up the win and the championship in the 31st edition which was held on March 29, 2015, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Since then he has made five more appearances including in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2025. However, Reigns is still waiting to repeat the 2015 success as he has failed in all of his five Rumble appearances after 2015.

The winner of the men’s Rumble match gets a chance to fight the champion for the title at WrestleMania which is why every participant aims for a win in order to challenge the Champion at the grandest stage.

The 2025 men’s Rumble match was Reigns’ seventh appearance where he eliminated a total of four opponents before himself being eliminated by CM Punk at the 25th spot.
